NOTHING IMPROVES GRADES
LIKE A MENTOR
Grades for participants improve from 1.089 (in the “D” range) to 2.579 (a solid C+ approaching a B- average). Academic performance for the entire school improves. Grades play a critical role in shaping the success profile such as attendance and graduation and positive identity and well-being of the student. Grades also become part of the permanent record that can either enhance or limit the student’s future opportunities. According to MENTOR, young adults who were at-risk for falling off track but has a mentor are 55% more likely to enroll in college.
